Document Abstract:
Oxidative damage coupled with the non-regenerative nature of neuronal tissue are thought to be major factors in the pathogenesis of the neurodegenerative diseases, including Parkinsonís disease, Alzheimerís disease, motor neurone disease, Huntingdonís disease and multiple sclerosis. The possible role of antioxidants and dietary interventions in treatment are discussed here.
