Document Abstract:
The Anderson study (1997) on the effect of chromium supplementation on the biomarkers of type 2 diabetes was the largest single double-blinded randomly controlled trial of the effect of this element on glucose metabolism. It was a well designed and powered study that concluded that chromium picolinate led to significant and dose dependent improvements in glycaemic control in type 2 diabetics.
