Document Summary
Title Long chain N-3 PUFA in the modification of cardiovascular risk through serum triglycerides
Description looks at the central role of triacylglycerides in CHD
Creation Date 30 October 2006
Doc type Article
Document Abstract:
There is now overwhelming evidence to suggest that coronary heart disease (CHD) reflects a disturbance in fat metabolism and that this disturbance can be benefited by the long-chain n-3 PUFAs in fish oil, thus reducing CHD mortality. This paper looks at the central role of triacylglycerides (TAG) in this phenomenon.
